1) What are Soft Claws™?

An excellent solution to problem dog scratching.
Soft Claws are vinyl nail caps that glue on to your dog's nails. They look like your dog's nails, only hollow. You fill them with the adhesive provided and glue them on to your dog's nails. The nail covers effectively blunt your dog's nails so no damage occurs when they scratch. They are completely safe and humane and can be used on dogs of all ages. Dogs tolerate the nail caps extremely well. Soft Claws are easy to apply at home. Dogs and their owners love them. Everything is included in the kit for easy at home application.

2) Are Soft Claws™ safe and do they hurt the dog?

Soft Claws are completely safe, painless and humane. They do not hurt the dog in any way. Soft Claws are non-toxic. Even if your dog swallows one, no harm will occur. The nail cap will safely pass through the digestive system.

3) Will Soft Claws™ protect my hardwood floors?

Yes! Soft Claws are great for protecting hardwood floors from scratches incurred by dog's nails. The nail covers are also great for protecting other surfaces such as doors, walls and furniture. They also help prevent scratches to people.

5) How many nail caps come in the Soft Claws™ take home kit?

There are 40 nail caps per package. That is enough for 4 front paw applications or 2 front and rear paw applications.

6) How do I apply Soft Claws™? Do I apply them to both the front a back claws?

If you are using Soft Claws to prevent your dog from scratching the doors, walls or protect people from scratches incurred from dogs jumping on them, apply the nail caps to the front claws only. For hardwood floors, you may wish to apply the nail caps to all four claws.

7) How long does one kit last?

This depends on if you apply the nail caps to the front claws only or the front and rear claws. There are 40 nail caps per package. Each application lasts approximately 4-6 weeks.
If you apply Soft Claws to the front claws only, each kit will last approximately 4-6 months. If you are applying Soft Claws to both the front and rear claws, each kit will last approximately 2-3 months.

8) How much does the kit cost?

Each Soft Claws take home kit costs $18.95. The S&H is $3.99. You can buy up to 3 kits for the same S&H as 1 kit.

9) What is included in the Soft Claws™ take home kit?

40 nail caps, adhesive and application instructions.

10) What sizes are available?

X-small, small, medium, large, X-large, XX-large, and jumbo.

11) How do I know what size my dog needs?

To select the correct size, print out the size chart, extend your dog's nail and measure against the black area. SIZE CHART

12) What if I select the wrong size?

No problem. When you receive your package, first take one of the nail caps out and try it on your dog's nails without the glue. It should fit like a glove. If it is the wrong size just send the package back and we will exchange it for another size no charge. Do not open the glue and make sure all components are present for return. Be sure to send it in a padded mailer so it remains in new condition.

13) What colors are available?

Clear, black, red, blue, purple and pink are the available colors.
X-small, XX-large and Jumbo are only available in clear and black.
